parth: how do you download something from a cd that you downloaded from utorrent?
I downloaded nero 8 from utorrent and I burned onto a cd and when it was down I put it in the computer but when I tried to download it it wouldn’t. Please help me.

once i search for songs on utorrent,what do i do then? is utorrent the only site i need to download songs on my mp3 player?

Utorrent is not a site it is a program that handles torrent files.
Torrent are small files that point to the location of the original and allow many peers to connect and share the pieces they have while downloading what they don’t. Popular torrent sites are ISOhunt— and thepiratebay—.
Just a disclaimer, while there are legal files available for the most part the files are not legal to download.

Pete: How do I actually watch something that i downloaded from Utorrent?
Okay, so I downloaded a movie via Utorrent. It’s 100% complete but when I open it, trying to use Windows Media Player, all I get is the audio. Could it be that I downloaded a file containing just audio or is it more likely that WMP just does not recognize the format? Please help with a detailed answer if possible, although I’m open to any kind of answer.

Yeah im guessing so, get something called VLC Media Player ; its like a Windows Media Player except I think it plays everything

Naah: Can i turn off my computer while downloading something on utorrent?
What if i’m downloading something on utorrent and it’s taking a very long time. It’s almost time to sleep and i have to turn off the computer or else i’ll get in trouble. Will the download still be there if i turn off the computer and get back on the next day or will it erase?
(Pause the download and close it)
Will that work?
If there is another way please explain in detail but easy to follow.

If you turn the computer off without doing anything to the software, it will re-open when you next turn it on and continue downloading the file.
If it doesn’t automatically re-open (which it should), just open it manually and it will continue to download.

matthias_remp: Internet turns on and off when uTorrent is downloading something. Why is this? How can i fix it?
This is effecting my download speed because uTorrent stops downloading and then starts again automatically. This happened with several downloads and i don’t know if it happens at night when im sleeping too.

Your pc might be infected with a virus. It is very easy to get infected using Utorrent of you do not shield your pc first, because when you are downloading something Utorrent is connecting to many sources (feeds). And some of the sources are not safe, they contain viruses.
You need to stop the viruses before they infect your computer.
You need to protect your pc by using an Anti Virus software and a Firewall. And you need to use Peer-Guardian to block bad peers, Peer-Guardian is like a Firewall but unlike a Firewall that lets you connect to these bad peers, Peer-Guardian blocks the bad peers before you connect to them. If you install Peer-Guardian and start a download with Utorrent you will be surprised at how much peers will Peer-Guardian block. If you use Utorrent you must have Peer-Guardian to stop viruses before they even reach your computer.
If you want Peer-Guardian go to –//phoenixlabs—/pg2/ and download it, after that you need to update it.
