Bubba: How can I download torrents using uTorrent?
I already installed uTorrent 1.7.7. However, whenever I try to download a torrent, it doesn’t even start. Could someone walk me through a download from start to finish?
Well, I already have the torrent file, but the process of downloading the actual information won’t start.

I just downloaded utorrent for mac, and started downloading torrent files. It says there are lots of peers, but the torrents wont start downloading.

you may have your ip blocked,
you could try to use another bittorrent client, such as azureus (vuze) which work on my mac desktop…
if all else fails, buy a windows pc 🙂

I opened utorrent and it asked me to update to 2.0.2, but now all of my completed torrents are no longer visible. I still have access to them through VLC, but they don’t show up in utorrent. Does anyone know how I can find them again?

Bit torrent (It’s not a u, it’s symbol for a bit) works without a central server so your download speed is entirely dependant on seeders. This means that if there are too many downloaders compared to seeders or the seeders are capping their upload speeds (Leachers) you will get slow download speeds.
So remember, do a good deed.
Always seed.

I only have Limewire to download music and now I am trying to download torrents using uTorrent but everytime i got to open a torrent it downloads in Limewire instead. Is there anyway I can make it download into uTorrent instead of Limewire? Thanks.

right click on the torrent file then go to “open with” then, even if you torrent is on the list, go to “select program” and look for utorrent, make sure u check the box that says that you want to always open it with utorrent.
it should do it.
else re-install utorrent and make sure you make it your default torrent program

Jason G: Is it safe to download TV shows and movies using torrents and uTorrent?
I’m worried about viruses as well as legality issues such as copyright infringement. I’ve read a few things about people being tracked through P2P networks like uTorrent by people who enforce copyright laws. Will this affect me if I live in South Africa?

I don’t know the laws of South Africa. But if u are worried about this then use a proxy or VPN when using torrents.

This is my first time using torrents. I downloaded a movie on Utorrent and it finished downloading. How do I play it?

It should usually just be where you said you would save the torrent, but after it’s finished downloading, right click the file and click ” Open containing folder.” From there a folder should pop up with your movie file inside and you can click the file and play
it.
P.S. Don’t forget to seed your torrents when you are done. It helps others out ^^

i use BitTorrent.
Whenever i download a torrent, FireFox gives the the option of automatically opening the torrent in BitTorrent (if that makes any sense)

FLAClover: What is the maximum number of torrents that utorrent can handle at once without crashing?
I have version 3.3 with a Windows 7 OS and any time I have over 2000 torrents active, utorrent crashes. I donwload a lot of smaller files from private music trackers so I would like to have them available to seed as much as possible. How to people who have 1 TB of files to seed handle this?
For those who get their panties in a twist over copyright law they are all self released albums thus my dedication to seeding.

i’m trying to download a couple of songs with utorrent, but it seems no matter what song i download, it never completes. Any ideas?

OK what i suggest you is uninstall uTorrent and install back again if it still has problem download bitlord client and try hope it helped you
